Aperture Research Works is designed to reduce avoidable buyer uncertainty before you commit money, information, time or internal approval. You can begin in writing. A live meeting is used only when real-time clarification would materially improve the process.
Documentation-led: Live discussions are introductory. Material scope, pricing, findings, acceptance, commitments and reliance are handled or confirmed in writing. A call is not required to obtain material answers.

2 · Aperture reviews fit
We assess the evidence problem, jurisdiction, conflicts, privacy, professional boundaries, feasibility and the smallest responsible scope.
3 · Writing continues unless a meeting adds value
If the matter can be clarified, scoped, accepted or declined responsibly in writing, no live meeting is required merely as a professional-services ritual.

SCOPE & COMMERCIAL CONTROL
Know what is included before material paid work begins.
Written scope
Where appropriate, scope identifies the central question, deliverable, included and excluded work, key assumptions, dependencies, timing basis, commercial basis and known limitations.
No surprise expansion
If material additional work becomes useful, Aperture identifies the reason and commercial effect and obtains the appropriate written approval before materially expanding chargeable work.
No predetermined answer
The fee buys responsible research, not a preferred conclusion. A valid outcome may be supported, not supported, contradicted, mixed, inconclusive or insufficient evidence.
IF A LIVE DISCUSSION IS USEFUL
Prepare first. Meet briefly. Return material matters to writing.
Aperture normally asks for enough written context before confirming an introductory meeting to make the conversation useful. Information already supplied should be carried forward where available rather than requested again.
Before
We identify the decision, remaining uncertainty, relevant entities, real deadline, jurisdiction, sensitivity and the few questions that genuinely benefit from live clarification.
During
Xandro Hattingh may handle a limited introductory or clarification discussion. The shortest useful conversation is preferred. The purpose is clarification, not pressure selling or uncontrolled commitments.
After
Where appropriate, Aperture processes the lawful meeting record, reviews material statements and issues written follow-up. Material reliance returns to approved written communication.
Recording and transcription. Where lawful, appropriate and properly disclosed or consented to where required, a meeting may be recorded and transcribed for accuracy and documentation. A recording or transcript is not by itself the final Aperture agreement or position.
INFORMATION & CONFIDENTIALITY
Send enough to assess the matter, not everything at once.
Do not send passwords, unauthorised system credentials, unlawfully obtained information, unnecessary personal information or highly sensitive material through an unsuitable public form. If sensitive documents may be needed, Aperture can first confirm the appropriate transfer route.
AI & EVIDENCE
Technology may assist the work. Evidence and human accountability govern the output.
AI output is not automatically treated as evidence. Client or prospect statements are not automatically treated as verified facts. Material propositions are assessed against appropriate sources, conflicting evidence and stated limitations under Aperture’s human-directed research controls.
STOPPING, CORRECTIONS & CONCERNS
You should know how to raise a problem or stop.
Stopping work, refunds, unused prepaid value, committed costs, work product and data handling depend on the applicable written terms and the work already performed. Aperture does not invent refund rights. Separate public routes exist for factual corrections, billing or service concerns, privacy concerns and security-sensitive communication.
