Purpose

After suitability and scope are considered, Aperture will advise on an appropriate transfer method based on sensitivity, jurisdiction, volume and client requirements.

Before sending documents

Confirm the transfer method first.

Do not send privileged, highly sensitive, regulated or restricted material until Aperture has confirmed an approved transfer method and accepted the relevant data-handling requirements in writing.

Client-facing handling controls

What is confirmed before sensitive material is transferred.

Transfer route

The approved channel is confirmed for the matter after sensitivity, jurisdiction, volume and client requirements are considered.

Access and handling

Who may handle the material, any specialist dependency and matter-specific restrictions are addressed before restricted material is accepted.

Retention and disposition

Applicable retention, legal-hold, return or deletion requirements are confirmed where the engagement requires them. Aperture does not promise a universal retention period where matter or law may require a different treatment.
