Accountable review

Confirmed factual processing errors should be corrected, not defended.

Aperture separates corrections from attempts to change an evidence-led conclusion merely because it is inconvenient.

What may be corrected

Confirmed transcription, formatting, citation or factual processing errors attributable to Aperture will be addressed when raised promptly.

  • Incorrect names, dates or document references.
  • Transcription or formatting errors.
  • Broken or mismatched citations.
  • Clear processing mistakes that do not require new research.

What is additional scope

New evidence, new questions, new jurisdictions, changed intended use or requests for extensive rewriting may require a scope variation or additional fee.

How to raise a correction

Email info@apertureforensic.com with the case reference, exact passage, proposed correction and supporting source. The matter will be reviewed against the project record.

Document lifecycle

No silent replacement.

Formal work may be marked Draft, Under Review, Current, Updated, Corrected, Superseded, Withdrawn or Archived. A correction records the error and affected pages. An update records new evidence. A superseded or withdrawn document remains distinguishable from the version that replaced it where lawful and appropriate.
