Paul Hattingh is the Founder and Principal Investigator of Aperture Research Works, an independent evidence assurance and investigative research practice dedicated to helping organisations, professionals and private clients make better-informed decisions where information is incomplete, contradictory, misleading or difficult to verify.
He is also the co-creator of Aperture: A Normative Truth Discipline for Deterministic Real-World Verification, a published verification framework that establishes a structured methodology for testing real-world claims against physical, logical and observable reality before interpretation or probability is applied. The framework defines Aperture as a verification discipline rather than an artificial intelligence system or conventional analytics platform.
Paul developed Aperture Research Works to apply these principles to real-world investigations and decision-making. His work focuses on determining what the available evidence actually establishes, what it does not establish, where material uncertainty remains and how much responsible reliance may reasonably be placed on the resulting assessment.
His work spans investigative research, evidence assurance, corporate intelligence, public-source due diligence, claims and evidence audits, regulatory and legal research support, ownership and relationship mapping, chronology reconstruction, source authentication, strategic intelligence, publication assurance and independent adversarial review.
Paul also designed Aperture's proprietary research and evidence assurance methodology, integrating structured investigative practice with carefully governed use of advanced analytical technologies. Technology supports research, organisation, comparison and analysis, but it never replaces human judgement, constitutes evidence or makes final decisions. Every professional conclusion and client deliverable remains subject to human review and approval before release.
As Founder and Principal Investigator, Paul is responsible for the strategic direction of Aperture Research Works, the continued development of its methodologies, investigative standards, evidence assurance processes, quality systems and professional products. He also serves as the final human approving authority for work released by Aperture Research Works, ensuring that every deliverable reflects the available evidence as accurately, fairly and transparently as reasonably possible.
His objective is straightforward: to help clients understand what reality supports, what it does not support and what decisions can responsibly be made based on the available evidence.

Xandro Hattingh is a co-creator of the Aperture deterministic verification discipline and contributes to the continued development of Aperture's verification methodology, research architecture and evidence assurance framework.
He is a co-author of Aperture: A Normative Truth Discipline for Deterministic Real-World Verification, the published framework that defines Aperture as a structured verification discipline for evaluating real-world claims against physical, logical and observable constraints before interpretation or probability is applied.
His work focuses on developing verification methodologies, analytical frameworks and structured approaches for assessing evidence across investigative, scientific, technical and commercial applications. He contributes to the ongoing evolution of Aperture's intellectual property, verification architecture and research standards.
Within Aperture Research Works, Xandro contributes to methodology development, product innovation, research systems and the long-term evolution of the Aperture verification framework. His work helps ensure that Aperture's methodologies remain technically rigorous, logically consistent and practically applicable across multiple disciplines.
The Aperture framework has applications in areas including forensic imaging, multisensory evidence assessment, virtual LiDAR reconstruction, material integrity analysis and cross-domain verification.
