Independent Research
Find the relevant evidence and controlling records rather than relying on summaries alone.
Evidence assurance services
Aperture Research Works applies one controlled evidence-assurance discipline across different types of consequential decisions. Start with the reliance problem, then choose the smallest responsible service and output.
Research is the process. Responsible reliance is the product.
One method across many domains
The consistent capability is evidence assurance: defining the decision, locating and testing the evidence, checking source independence, exposing contradictions, testing calculations and assumptions, identifying gaps, and determining what level of reliance is justified.
When a material conclusion requires legal, tax, accounting, scientific, engineering, medical, technical or other specialist judgement, Aperture identifies the exact specialist question and requires or integrates appropriately qualified input. The research process does not imitate credentials Aperture does not hold.
Aperture can investigate evidence across many subject areas without claiming universal subject-matter expertise. Where professional authority is necessary, specialist escalation remains visible rather than being hidden behind confident language.
How specialist escalation works →Decision Assurance
Find the relevant evidence and controlling records rather than relying on summaries alone.
Determine whether the evidence is authentic, correctly represented, independent and sufficiently complete.
Actively search for evidence and explanations capable of disproving the initial conclusion.
Reproduce calculations, test data provenance, assumptions, sensitivity and internal consistency.
Identify the exact professional question and integrate appropriately qualified input when required.
Translate the complete evidence basis into what the decision-maker may trust, question, restrict or investigate further.
The tools can change. The evidentiary discipline does not. Aperture uses the best available technology, but the tool is never the evidence.
Choose by problem, not terminology
Aperture can select the research application after understanding the decision. You do not need to diagnose the methodology yourself.
Test a company, person, transaction, supplier, partner, claim or report before capital, authority or reputation is committed.
Reconstruct what happened, identify genuine source independence and keep contradictory evidence visible.
Identify evidence gaps, specialist questions and uncertainty that could materially change the decision.

The MH370 case shows how several Aperture capabilities can work together inside one controlled matter: chronology, source verification, contradiction testing, technical review, evidence-gap control, competing hypotheses and specialist escalation.
Tell us what must be relied upon, what could go wrong if it is wrong, and what evidence is currently available. Aperture can help define a proportionate scope.
