When a public record appears inconsistent with a material representation, the immediate task is to determine whether the conflict is real, contextual, outdated, explainable or decision-relevant.

When this question becomes worth testing
The contradiction affects value, risk, governance, reputation or whether to proceed.
The date, entity, wording or legal status may explain part of the apparent conflict.
A decision-maker needs the disagreement preserved and tested rather than averaged into a narrative.

What an Aperture review is trying to establish
1. Reconstruct the relevant chronology and exact claims.
2. Check whether the records concern the same entity, period and proposition.
3. Seek independent material capable of resolving or qualifying the conflict.
4. State whether the contradiction is resolved, remains material or requires specialist escalation.

A contradiction is not proof that one side is false. The purpose is to determine what the record can support and where uncertainty must remain visible.
