Commercial entry routes

Ways to Work With Aperture.

Aperture can enter a commercial relationship in more than one way. The route describes how the opportunity reaches us. The product describes what evidence work is ultimately needed.

The routing model

START WITH THE RELATIONSHIP. THEN ROUTE TO THE RIGHT FACT, PRODUCT AND COMMERCIAL MODEL.

A direct client, a professional adviser, a service provider looking for qualified opportunities and a potential buyer or seller do not enter Aperture in the same way. The website separates those routes so the underlying evidence work can remain precise.

1 · Entry channelHow does the opportunity reach Aperture?Direct matter, professional referral, commercial referral programme, buyer & seller intelligence or an existing relationship.
2 · Decision problemWhat decision or commercial need exists?Deals, credit, disputes, counsel, risk, procurement, technical verification or another defined need.
3 · Material factWhat must actually be true? The specific proposition, claim, status, event or external fact capable of changing the decision.
4 · Aperture productWhat proportionate work should be bought?A bounded facts check, counsel assurance product, RESEARCH, REVIEW, DESK, APERTURE or WATCH.
5 · Commercial outcomeWhat happens after the finding? One paid matter, repeat verification, monitoring, an embedded relationship, a referral or a qualified introduction.

Route 1 · Direct Matter

Bring us a decision that depends on a fact.

This is the normal direct-client route. You have a live decision, claim, report, counterparty or uncertainty and want an independent written view of what the external evidence supports.

  • Begin with one material question rather than an open-ended investigation.
  • Aperture identifies the smallest responsible product and scope.
  • The work may expand only where the decision genuinely requires broader evidence.
  • If a relevant fact can change over time, the completed matter can move into Aperture Watch.

Route 2 · Professional Referral

Bring Aperture into a matter without giving up your professional role.

Lawyers, M&A advisers, fractional executives, consultants, accountants, risk professionals and other advisers may encounter a factual dependency that sits outside, or alongside, their own professional work.

  • The adviser can refer the client to Aperture or, where appropriate, instruct Aperture as part of the adviser-led matter.
  • The adviser retains their professional advice, strategy, judgement and client responsibilities.
  • Aperture remains responsible for its independent research methodology, evidence assessment, findings and limitations.
  • For counsel, the boundary remains: You remain counsel. We test the research layer.

Route 3 · Bespoke Commercial Referral Programme

Use Aperture's research capability to identify and qualify genuine opportunities for a defined service.

This route is different from a normal client referral. A selected service provider may agree a written programme under which Aperture researches a defined buyer profile, verifies current need or trigger signals, qualifies contact and fit, and routes appropriate opportunities under agreed rules.

  • The provider defines the service, eligible buyer profile and what counts as a qualified opportunity.
  • Aperture applies lawful public-source research, evidence-based qualification and written-first outreach controls.
  • Attribution, compensation, exclusions, geography, expiry periods and compliance controls are agreed privately and in writing.
  • No programme guarantees leads, sales or conversion, and Aperture may reject unsuitable targets or campaigns.
  • Aperture will not use this route to perform regulated brokerage, finder, investment-advisory or other reserved work where authorisation is required.
This is not mass lead generation. The commercial value comes from verified problem fit, current trigger, buyer authority and a defined reason why the opportunity exists now.

Route 4 · Buyer & Seller Intelligence

Research whether a real transaction fit exists before an introduction is considered.

Aperture can independently research buyer intent, seller intent and relevant external facts around a potential transaction opportunity. The purpose is to reduce speculative introductions and establish whether both sides appear to fit before further contact.

  • Seller-side work looks for genuine current willingness to consider a transaction, not merely distress or theoretical saleability.
  • Buyer-side work tests current acquisition intent, buy-box fit and credible capacity where this can be responsibly established.
  • Any proprietary identity or sensitive commercial information is protected and disclosed only on an appropriate basis.
  • A controlled introduction may be considered where lawful and appropriate, but Aperture does not hold itself out as a broker, investment adviser, regulated finder or negotiator.
Aperture's role is research, verification and evidence-led qualification. Transaction advice, negotiation, valuation, regulated placement and other reserved functions remain with appropriately authorised professionals.

Two continuation routes

NOT EVERY RELATIONSHIP STARTS FROM ZERO.

Embedded / Channel Partner

A professional firm can use Aperture repeatedly as an external evidence capability within its normal workflow. The firm keeps its client role; Aperture handles the defined evidence question under the agreed delivery model.

Existing Client Expansion

After a completed matter, Aperture tests whether another target, borrower, claim, portfolio entity or changing fact creates a natural repeat use. Where the fact can change, Aperture Watch may provide the recurring route.

Public work as discovery

OUR PUBLIC WORK HELPS PEOPLE RECOGNISE WHEN THEY HAVE THE PROBLEM.

Selected Work, Evidence Guides and public case studies remain an inbound discovery route. They are not presented as client engagements unless they genuinely were. Their purpose is to show how a material factual question is tested and what a decision-ready finding looks like.

Professional boundaries

THE ENTRY ROUTE NEVER OVERRIDES THE SCOPE BOUNDARY.

Whatever the commercial route, Aperture remains within lawful research, verification and evidence work. Licensing, privacy, sanctions, conflicts, reserved-profession rules, anti-hacking controls and human approval remain controlling.

Aperture Research Works is not a law firm, accounting firm, investment adviser, broker, regulated finder, credit adviser or field-inspection provider. Where a matter requires a regulated or reserved professional function, that work remains with the appropriately authorised professional.
