Paul Hattingh

Paul leads Aperture’s research direction, evidence standards, systems design, adversarial review and final human quality control. He built Aperture around a simple question: what does the available evidence actually support before somebody relies on it?

His background across technology, information systems, entrepreneurship and practical problem-solving shapes a systems-oriented approach to research. Technology can accelerate discovery, comparison and organisation, but it does not take responsibility for the conclusion.

When a matter is complex, Paul focuses on the real decision, the material proposition, the strongest available sources, contradictions, missing evidence and the point at which specialist authority is required.

Xandro works across Aperture’s technical operations, systems integration and controlled commercial execution. He helps keep the practical path from research, communication and intake through to the correct human follow-up coherent.

His role brings a business-management and operational perspective to structured research, client context, technology and the way information is turned into a useful next step.

When Xandro contacts you, the message comes from the same evidence-led Aperture environment. The communication may be technology-assisted, but the person, purpose and accountability behind it are real.

Why our emails can be detailed

Before we contact someone, we try to understand who they are, what is happening, why it may matter, what is still uncertain and whether Aperture can genuinely contribute. We prefer explaining the reason for contact over sending a vague mass message.

The level of care you see in the communication is a preview of the standard we bring to paid work.

We use modern technology to search, organise, compare and manage larger bodies of information. It helps a small team work with greater reach and consistency.

Technology does not decide what is true. Material findings must return to underlying evidence, and human judgement remains responsible for scope, challenge, limitations and release.
