Aperture Research Works conducts lawful research and does not use prohibited access or deceptive acquisition methods.

Permitted research sources may include

Lawfully available public sources
Official, court and regulatory records
Corporate filings
Properly licensed databases
Open-source material
Client-supplied information the client is lawfully entitled to provide
Other lawful evidentiary sources suitable for the scope

Methods Aperture does not use

Hacking or unauthorised access
Credential theft or malware
Unlawful surveillance or interception
Impersonation or pretexting
Bribery
Stolen private records
Other deceptive or unlawful acquisition methods

Public availability does not automatically make information appropriate for inclusion.

Privacy, proportionality, relevance, legitimate purpose, jurisdiction and intended use remain part of the assessment.

Every proposed matter is assessed before acceptance.

Aperture does not accept hacked, stolen, unlawfully intercepted or otherwise unlawfully obtained material merely so that it can be repackaged as research. Source provenance, authority, necessity, proportionality and jurisdiction may be assessed before private or third-party information is used.
