What the public record supported

Direct-to-device connectivity has moved from concept toward regulated and commercial service, but capability depends on spectrum authority, terrestrial partner rights, handset compatibility, coverage and service limitations. The FCC's SCS framework provides the regulatory pathway; T-Mobile describes a commercial T-Satellite service with explicit coverage and performance limitations.
